Youcef Abdi produced his best ever time in the m steeplechase at the Beijing Olympics, now he will be hoping to improve on that performance and challenge for a medal in London.
Four years ago, he ran 8 minutes seconds to finish sixth in the steeplechase.

So far this year, his fastest time is 8 min seconds last month in Istanbul. Aside from the Olympics, he has run in three Commonwealth Games and four world championships.

Past Olympics: Athens – 16th, 20km walk; Beijing – 6th, 20km walk, 10th, 50km walk
Adams will race in his third Olympic Games in London.
He came 6th in the 20km walk in Beijing and 10th in the 50km event, but is now focusing on the longer race in London. He has good prospects of a medal, having finished 5th in the 50km walk at last year’s world titles
